Robert Straus, CFA, CMT


Senior Member of the Investment Committee, Senior Vice President, Chief Investment Officer



ROBERT STRAUS, CFA, CMT, is Senior Vice President, Chief Investment Officer, and portfolio manager for the ICON Utilities*, Consumer Discretionary, Consumer Staples, and Risk-Managed Equity Funds. He is also a member of the Senior Investment Committee.

Mr. Straus was employed at ICON from 1996 to 1999 and rejoined ICON in 2001 as a member of the investment committee. During 2000, Mr. Straus was a partner with Integral Asset Management, LLC and subsequently a senior equity trader with Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. He earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from New York University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Denver. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Market Technician designations. Mr. Straus has been a television guest on CNBC and CNNfn and has been featured in a number of business and investment publications including Barron’s, SmartMoney, and Fortune magazines.
