Craig Callahan, DBA


Founder and President




CRAIG CALLAHAN is the founder and president of ICON, serves as a senior member of the ICON Investment Committee, and is chairman of the ICON Funds board of trustees. He also serves as portfolio manager of the ICON Core Equity and Long/Short Funds. Prior to founding ICON, he was a finance professor at the University of Denver and served as the director of research at a regional brokerage firm. Dr. Callahan received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from The Ohio State University and a doctoral degree in business administration with emphasis in finance and statistics from Kent State University. He holds FINRA Series 7, 24, 63, and 66 registrations. Dr. Callahan has been a television guest on numerous financial networks and has been featured in a number of business and investment publications. He frequently addresses broker/dealer, institutional, and investor conferences. In 2003 and 2004, Dr. Callahan was a regional finalist for Ernst & Young’s "Entrepreneur of the Year" award in the financial securities category. He also received the "Colorado Pro Patria Award" in 2005 for demonstrating exceptional support of citizen soldiers serving in the National Guard and Reserve.
