ICON’s value approach is not limited by restrictions on market capitalization. Most investment managers characterize their style as falling into one of the six boxes shown in the illustration on the right: by size of company—small-cap, mid-cap, or large-cap, and by style—either value or growth. At ICON, we believe industries migrate across the grid; when a theme develops, we have the flexibility to go anywhere to locate value.

ICON’s system allows us to identify industries that have the potential to become market leaders without these arbitrary barriers or restrictions.
