Frequently Asked Questions for Investment Professionals

How do I obtain online access to ICON client accounts?
The ICON Advisers website offers investment professionals secure access to their clients’ accounts in both the Mutual Fund Allocation Portfolios and the ICON Funds 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can access information about your client accounts, including account registration, transaction history, gain/loss summary, portfolio composition, and assets, as of the last business day's close.

It’s simple to set up your log-in credentials after you receive your Personal Identification Number (PIN) by mail from ICON. To validate your access, go to the Investment Professional homepage, and then click on “Sign Up for Client Account Access.” On that page, enter the following information in the fields requested:

  • Your Central Registration Depository (CRD®) number as created by FINRA. If you don’t know your CRD number, ICON’s website provides a tool for you to look it up online using FINRA BrokerCheck.
  • The Tax ID Number (Social Security number) of one of your ICON Clients (can be a Mutual Fund Allocation Portfolio client or an ICON Fund shareholder).
  • An Account Number for that same Client (can be either a Portfolio or Fund account, but must correlate to that Client’s Social Security number). ICON Fund account numbers need to be 11 digits in length (add zeroes at the beginning as needed to reach 11 digits), and ICON Allocation Portfolio account numbers are three letters and six numbers.
  • Your ICON PIN as assigned by ICON and mailed to you in a Personal and Confidential letter.
  • A Security Question and Answer of your choosing that only you would know.
ICON allows you to create your own Username and Password for the website using at least six numbers and/or letters, so we advise selecting something familiar and memorable. You should keep the letter from ICON with your personal PIN in a private and secure place to ensure the security of your website access.

What should I do if I forget my username or password?
ICON can help if you forget your website Username or Password or are locked out for security reasons. Just call 1-800-828-4881 and an Internal Sales Associate can provide your Username. Although ICON does not store website passwords for security reasons, we have the ability to reset your password so you can create a new one.

What if I have trouble obtaining account access?
You may be unable to set up your log-in credentials for several reasons. These include:

  • Your CRD Number Is Not on File with the Custodian. It’s possible that your CRD number is not in our representative database. ICON can research this with our custodians and update our files with your CRD. Within a few days, you should be able to try again to set up your log-in. If you suspect this may be the issue, call 1-800-828-4881 and an Internal Sales Associate can assist you.
  • You May Be Entering an Incorrect Social Security Number/Account Number Sequence. The client Social Security Number that you enter must correlate to that same client’s account number.
  • You Have Not Designated or Have Incorrectly Designated SSN or TIN Option. Please designate on the “Sign Up for Client Account Access” page whether the number you are entering for a client is a Tax Identification Number (TIN) or Social Security Number (SSN).
  • You Need to Enter 11 Digits for an ICON Funds Account Number and 3 Letters and 6 Numbers for a Portfolio Account Number. If your client’s Fund account is less than 11 digits, simply enter zeroes at the beginning to reach 11 characters.
How can I access monthly statements for my clients?
The ICON website facilitates access to account statements produced by Fiserv for Mutual Fund Allocation Portfolio clients. After you log in to the secure area of ICON’s website (from the “Access Client Accounts” link), scroll down to the “View Statements” link to see monthly statements for your clients. Once you have a Fiserv password, you can then select the “Log-in to Download Account Data” link and you will be prompted on how to move forward.

If you don’t have a password established with Fiserv, you can request one by selecting the “Request Password” link. You will be required to fill out a form and mail or fax it to Fiserv, who will mail your user ID and password to you in three to five business days.
